SPARTANBURG. S.C. – The Wofford College cross country squads competed in the Upstate Invite Saturday morning with the women finishing in second place and Parker Johnson leading the way on the men’s’ side.
The women fielded a full team in the 5k event with Kiersten Ellsworth leading the way with a time of 20:48, which was good enough for sixth place. Caroline Liddy finished in seventh place with a time of 20;49, while Stacey Mangan took 20th with a time of 21:53. Shelby Harris finished in 25th, crossing the finish line with a time of 22:17. Rachel Cooley rounded out the Terrier top five runners with a time of 22:26.
On the men’s side, Parker Johnson finished in 27th with a time of 29:35 over the 8k course. Tyler Slonecki ran a 29:39 to finish in 28th, and Sam Parrott placed in 36th with a time of 30:51.
The Terriers next meet will be the Southern Conference Championship Meet on October 29.
