DAHLONAGA, Ga. – The Wofford College rifle team competed in the SEARC 5 match on Saturday morning hosted by North Georgia College and State University. The Terriers posted a score of 2198 to finish fourth in NCAA scoring and fifth in the SEARC standings.
Freshmen shooter Jim Stanley was the top finisher for the Terriers with a 570. Tommy McKelvey fired a 559. Josh Mangan had a 546, while Nygia Bost rounded out the Wofford shooters with a 523.
North Carolina State finished first overall with a 2325. Daniel Cliff of the Wolfpack took individual honors with a 585. In NCAA scoring, North Carolina State was followed by The Citadel men at 2266, North Georgia with a 2259, Wofford at 2198, and The Citadel women at 2188. In SEARC scoring, North Carolina State was first, The Citadel second at 2270, North Georgia third with a 2259, followed by Clemson at 2217, Wofford at 2198, and Georgia Military with a 2151.
The next match for the Terriers will be February 16 and 17 in the SEARC 6 match hosted by The Citadel.
