CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team opened the season with a 2180 to 2159 win over Georgia Southern in a match held at The Citadel.

Tommy McKelvey led the team with a 557. Also shooting for Wofford were Jim Stanley (551), Josh Mangan (548), Nygia Bost (524), and Erin Lee (498) in her first match. Isaac Halverson also completed the match with his personal best, 532. 

The team will compete at SEARC 1 on September 21 at Virginia Military Institute.
