ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Wofford College men's and women's cross country teams ran at the College of Charleston Classic Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Winthrop University Farm Course. The men placed fourth behind a sixth place finish by
Alex Michaels, while the women were sixth overall.

The women's 5K event began the competition.
Anya Bunao was the first Terrier to cross the finish line with a time of 19:31.4 to place 13
th overall. She was followed by
Alexandra Forster (19:44.1),
Rebeka Fadgyas (20:29.6),
Breck Peterson (20:32.8), and
Halee Rogers (20:55.2) to score for the Terriers. Also competing were
Jamie Barnett,
Rebeka Parent, and Jamie Washburn.

Alex Michaels was the top finisher for Wofford in the men's 8K race with a time of 26:50.7 to place sixth overall.
Cisco Ferre was close behind at 26:56.3 in eighth place.
Cristian Widenhouse (27:30.0),
Joe Harbacevich (27:31.7), and
Jonathan Rice (28:18.0) also scored for the Terriers.
Ryan Doyle,
Dane Szalwinski, and
Ben Boatwright rounded out the finishers for Wofford. Â

College of Charleston won the men's race, which had a field of nine teams. In the women's competition, College of Charleston was first among the nine schools.

Both the men's and women's teams will be back in action on Saturday, October 31 for the Southern Conference Championship at Furman University.
