MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Wofford College rifle team competed at the sixth Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match this weekend at Georgia Military College. The Terriers finished second overall out of the seven teams participating in both air rifle and small bore.

Wofford finished second with a season's best score of 4332. North Georgia was first overall with an impressive 4532. Finishing behind Wofford was Georgia Southern, 4293; The Citadel Men, 2247 (air only); The Citadel Women, 2201 (air only); Clemson, (non-NCAA) 4215; and Georgia Military, (non-NCAA) 4164.Â

Tommy McKelvey led the Terrier effort finishing first for the team in both air and small bore firing a 571 and 551 respectively. McKelvey was followed by Jim Stanley, 570/531; Zoe Kloth, 560/480; Seth Flanagan, 551/518 (career best small bore score); and Erin Troyer, 529 (air only). Nick Hunter and Campbell Cox also competed in air rifle for Wofford with 522 and 515.Â

Wofford continues the season on Saturday, February 14, as the Terriers host Alabama-Birmingham at the rifle range in the Taylor Center.
