Cross Country and Track Signs Two

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College cross country and track head coach Johnny Bomar has announced that Megan Dunn and Ford McCoy have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Terriers in the fall of 2017.
 
"We are very excited to add Megan and Ford to our cross country and track teams," said Bomar. "Both of them have had great success in high school and we believe they will make our team stronger in the future."
 
Megan Dunn is a highly decorated track athlete from Lord Dorchester Secondary School in Dorchester, Ontario, Canada. In 2016 she was named Athletics Ontario Youth Combined Athlete of the Year and also won the Ontario Youth heptathlon. She holds school records in the 4x100 relay, 200 meters, 100 meter hurdles and 4x400 meter relay. The 4x400 meter relay team also holds Tri-county, WOSSAA and OFSAA West Regional records. As a sophomore was fourth in the conference in the 400 meters and as a junior took first place in the 4x400 meter relay and third in the 4x100 meter relay. She also played volleyball, soccer and basketball for Lord Dorchester.
 
Ford McCoy is a multiple state champion in cross country and track from Saint Joseph's Catholic School in Greenville, South Carolina. He was a member of the varsity cross country team since his seventh grade year and ran varsity track beginning in the eighth grade. This fall he won the individual 2A state title and the team also won the state championship. He had previously won the 1A individual state title his junior season, while the team won the state title his eighth grade, freshman and junior years. McCoy was named SCHSL All-State six times in cross country. In track and field, he won individual 1A state championships in the 800 meters, 1600 meters and 3200 last year as a junior. He added All-State honors last season and has received All-Region honors three times.
 
The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to Wofford College and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
