CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team earned a fourth place finish at the NCAA Qualifier held on Saturday and Sunday at the Inouye Marksmanship Center at The Citadel.

Cierra Holcombe led the team's air rifle effort with a personal best 574 (543 small bore) and
Jim Stanley once again led the team's small bore rifle effort with 556 (567 air rifle). Senior team captain
Tommy McKelvey fired 570 air/543 small bore along with teammates
Zoe Kloth (556/553),
Nick Hunter (563/533) and
Seth Flanagan (499/503).Â

North Carolina State won the team competition with 4,654 points and was followed by North Georgia with 4,549. Georgia Southern was next at 4,482, and Wofford's 4,474 points placed fourth. The Citadel co-ed team scored 4,394 points, and the Bulldogs' women's team scored 4,317. Georgia Military College and Clemson were next with 4,277 and 4,151, respectively.

The Terriers will complete the season at the Southeastern Air Rifle Conference Championship hosted by The Citadel on March 5 and 6. It will mark the final SEARC match for Wofford, as the Southern Conference will sponsor rifle beginning next fall.
