DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Wofford College rifle team finished second at the Southeastern Air Rifle Conference match hosted by the University of North Georgia on Saturday.
Tommy McKelvey led the team with 1127 consisting of 582 air/545 small bore. She claimed second place overall in air rifle by a margin of one point.
Jim Stanley won the small bore rifle portion of the match for the second straight competition with a 556 in air and 563 in small bore followed by
Zoe Kloth (570 air/540 small bore),
Nick Hunter (558/537) and
Seth Flanagan (550 /503). Kloth's small bore and Hunter's air and small bore scores were personal records.
The University of North Georgia won the match with a score of 4,482 followed by Wofford at 4,451, The Citadel Men with 4,432, Georgia Southern with 4,387, The Citadel Women with 4,385 and Georgia Military College with 4,268.
The Terriers will host the University of Alabama Birmingham in the final home match of the season before the NCAA qualifier hosted by The Citadel on February 20 and 21.
