CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team completed the 2015-16 season on Saturday at the Southeastern Air Rifle Conference Championship held at the Inouye Marksmanship Center at The Citadel. The Terriers finished fifth overall with 2,259 points.

Zoe Kloth led the team with 571 followed by
Tommy McKelvey (568),
Jim Stanley (565),
Nick Hunter (555), and
Cierra Holcombe (554).
Seth Flanagan (557) and
Reid Schuster (a personal record 541) also shot for the team. Â

The match featured only air rifle competition among the seven competing teams. North Carolina State won the event with a score of 2,340 points. North Georgia was second with 2,306, and Georgia Southern placed third with 2,285 points. The Citadel's co-ed team scored 2,278 for fourth place and the women's team had 2,232 points for sixth. Wofford's 2,259 points were fifth, and UAB placed seventh with 2,187 points.

In the season standings, Wofford finished fourth in the conference behind NC State, North Georgia, and Georgia Southern and ahead of both Citadel teams, Georgia Military and Clemson.Â

Saturday's match was the final SEARC event for Wofford, which will compete in the Southern Conference next season as it is adding rifle as a championship sport for the 2016-17 season.
