SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team won handily on Thursday afternoon, defeating North Carolina A&T, 7-0, at Reeves Tennis Center.

The match was the team's first at home in the 2017 season.

"I'm proud of our team's effort and execution today," coach
Rod Ray said. "We had a beautiful day today and we made the most of our opportunities by staying focused and aggressive."

The Terriers won all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day.
Haris Poric and
Julian Chousa clinched their match first, winning, 6-3, in the no. 1 slot. Minutes later,
Jack Thomas and freshman
John Crawford also won, 6-3, to clinch the first point of the match for Wofford. The match gave Crawford his first collegiate win.

In singles play, Poric quickly dispatched Nicolas Arduh, 6-2, 6-1, from the no. 1 position. Playing no. 2, freshman
Lucas Cerbelli won, 6-2, 6-2, before fellow freshman
Julian Chousa won his match at no. 4 to guarantee a Wofford victory.

Closing out the day,
Parks Schoen rallied after dropping the first set to win, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5). In the no. 5 and 6 slots,
Jack Thomas and
Kyle Barr won easily, with Thomas cruising, 6-1, 6-3, and Barr finishing out the day with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

The win improves the team's record to 2-1.
