SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team hosted The Citadel on Saturday at the Taylor Center Rifle Range. The Citadel had both the co-ed team and the women's team competing in the match.

The Citadel co-ed team won the smallbore match with 2170 points, followed by Wofford at 2100 and The Citadel women at 2081. In air rifle, The Citadel co-ed squad had 2302 points, Wofford had 2210 points and The Citadel women had 2198 points.

Cierra Holcombe led the Wofford effort with her 569 air score and 542 smallbore.
Nick Hunter also had a 542 in smallbore and added a 545 in air.
Zach Hunter (501 small/546 air), Seth Flanigan (514 smallbore/550 air), and
Reid Schuster (502 smallbore/533 air) also fired for the Terriers. Both scores by
Zach Hunter were personal bests.

The Citadel's Allison Auten fired the top score of the day in air at 583, while Colton Poole had the top overall score in smallbore at 551. The match marked the first held at Wofford using an electronic scoring system.

The Terriers will compete next on February 18 at VMI in an NCAA Qualifier. The Southern Conference Championship will be held March 4 and 5 at The Citadel.
