Krissy Hall has announced the signing of two student-athletes for the 2019-20 season.

The Terriers welcome the addition of Rebecca Rubanov and Georgia Fischer, who have announced their commitment to Wofford College through the signing of their National Letters of Intent.

"I am thrilled to welcome Georgia and Rebecca to the Wofford Tennis Family! Both Rebecca and Georgia are extremely hard workers and very competitive," said head coach
Krissy Hall of the two signees. "They have tremendous talent and I have no doubt they will reach their full potential both on the court and in the classroom here at Wofford. Most importantly, Georgia and Rebecca have great character and are very involved in their communities. They will be a great addition to the Wofford Family!"

Rebecca Rubanov / Macon, Georgia / Becca Lane Academy

A native of Macon, Georgia, Rubanov has been rated as high as a four-star recruit on Tennis Recruiting and as high as a 9.6 UTR, as she led her team to Junior Team Tennis State and Sectional championships over the summer. Her highest southern ranking in the 18U division was 59, reaching the doubles finals in the National Level 3 in Cary, North Carolina, while also winning the consolation draw of her Georgia State Qualifier. Rubanov has been named to the Honors College and President's List through dual enrollment at Middle Georgia State University. Additionally, she is active in her community, volunteering weekly in her local hospital's emergency room and being highly involved in her church's youth group.

Georgia Fischer / Brentwood, Tenn. / Brentwood High School

Fischer, a four-star recruit on Tennis Recruiting, has helped lead her team to three Class AA Tennessee State Team championships, while winning the Class AAA Tennessee State Doubles championship three consecutive years in a row. She has been selected to represent Tennessee in the Southern Cup for the past six years (2013-2018), as she was named to Prince's Hot 100 list on Tennis Recruiting in November 2018, winning her first Icy Hot in Louisville. Fischer has been ranked either No. 1 or No. 2 in Tennessee in all age divisions, reaching top-40 in the southern section as well, earning as high as a 9.18 UTR in singles and 9.46 in doubles. Fischer is currently in the top-10 percent of her high school class and is very involved in her community, volunteering at a senior home as a young life senior leader.
