SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College rifle team opened the season on Saturday with a 4552 to 4379 loss to UAB at the Taylor Center Rifle Range.
 
The Terriers were led by freshman shooter Dan Wesson with an aggregate score of 1124 followed by Scott Condo (1107), Marcus Stallings (1081) and Andrew Visconti (1067). Brandy Barnes (personal record 1010), Graham Boswell (913) and Meredith Bean (512 air rifle only) also shot for Wofford.
 
The Terriers will compete next on October 13 in Charleston against The Citadel and UAB.
