SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College men's cross country team competed on Saturday morning at the Upstate Invitational held at Milliken Research Park. The Terriers were fourth overall out of seven teams.

In the men's 8K competition,
Walker Gibbs was the first Terrier to cross the finish line in 28:33.8 for 25
th place.
Demir Degirmenci (28:50.1),
Ryan O'Malley (29:44.3),
Theron Bradford (30:33.8), and
Nick Butler (30:37.3) rounded out the scorers for Wofford.

Overall, USC Upstate won the men's race. Ababu Mohammed from Tennessee Tech won the individual title.

Other teams competing included USC Upstate, Belmont Abbey, Lander, Lincoln Memorial, Newberry, and Southern Wesleyan. Individuals from Winthrop, Tennessee Tech, USC Aiken and Claflin also competed.

Both the men's and women's teams will be back in action on Friday, October 11, at the Royals Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte.
