HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Low Country Intercollegiate wrapped up on Sunday, with Navy claiming the individual title. Wofford's
Becca Earl finished in a tie for 12th place, while the Terriers tied for 10th as a team.
Trailing by five strokes after round one, Navy rallied to pace the field by four strokes, finishing 24-over-par 600 to claim the team title. Bethune-Cookman finished second overall, led by Yudika Rodriguez's even-par effort. Limestone (+30) checked in third overall, while Columbia (+34) and Appalachian State (+50) round out the top five scoring.
As a team, Wofford was three strokes better on Sunday, totaling 316. With birdies on holes No. 7 and 17, Earl finished the tournament 8-over-par to tie for 12th. Freshman
Kristine Torralba struggled a bit on Sunday, but parred her last five holes to finish 10-over-par for the tournament.
Lina Settelmayer had a strong finish, posting the team-low 78 on Sunday, finishing 19-over-par overall.
Speedy Kent rounded out the scoring for the Terriers, shooting a 7-over-par 79 on Sunday.
Grace Massengill, who competed as an individual, also posted a 79 on Sunday, finishing tied for 57th overall.
Wofford will return to the course on March 25, competing in the French Broad UNC Asheville Invitational.
