BOULDER CITY, NEV. - Wofford women's golfer
Becca Earl finished just two shots back of first, tying for second in the Battle at Boulder Creek in Nevada on Tuesday. As a team, the Terriers placed third in a field of seven.
Earl opened up the tournament with a 1-under-par 71 on Monday, finishing up the day by shooting an even par 72. In the final round on Tuesday, the freshman from Essex, England, posted a 75 to finish with a 2-over-par 218 tournament, just two strokes shy of Toledo's Pinyada Kuvanun, who lifted her school to the team title.

Becca Earl leading the way," said Wofford head coach
Angie Ridgeway. "Though Becca would like to replay a few putts today, she had a very solid tournament tying for second."
Fellow freshman
Kristine Torralba had a solid showing, finishing tied for sixth place overall. The Manila, Philippines, native fired a round-one 75 and finished Monday with a second-round 77. On Tuesday, Torralba posted her best round of the tournament, shooting a 2-over-par 74.
Lina Settelmayer, who led the Terriers in the Oyster Shuck Match Play, shot a first-round 76 and ended with a pair of 77's to finish tied for 11th overall.
Grace Massengill rounded out the scoring for Wofford, totaling 245 for the three rounds.
Emma King, who competed as an individual, finished tied for 19th, posting a 16-over-par 232, closing the tournament with a 75.

Emma King played well as an individual to earn a spot in our starting lineup for Hilton Head."
Wofford will return to the course on Saturday for the Low Country Intercollegiate tournament on Hilton Head Island, S.C.
