STATESBORO, Ga. – The 2020 Southern Conference Rifle Championship took place at Georgia Southern Shooting Sports Education Center on Saturday and Sunday. Dan Wesson won the SoCon Championship in the air rifle on Sunday and Wofford finished fifth overall with 4,445 points.
 
In the air rifle competition on Sunday, Dan Wesson qualified in sixth place for the finals with a score of 577. In the elimination final, Wesson and Amy Kohan from UAB were the last two firing. Wesson scored a 19.6 to Kohan's 19.2 in the final shot to win the individual title. It marks the first ever individual rifle championship in school history.
 
Scott Condo (560), Isabella Timmons (551), Marcus Stallings (551) and Andrew Visconti (548) also competed in air rifle. The team scored 2,239 points to finish seventh in air rifle.
 
The smallbore competition was held on Saturday. In the team scores, Wofford was fourth overall with 2,206 points. Dan Wesson was fourth overall with a score of 565. He earned All-Southern Conference first team honors.
 
Also competing in smallbore for the Terriers were Marcus Stallings (557), Scott Condo (555), Andrew Visconti (529) and Isabella Timmons (511).
