SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Just four tournaments into her collegiate career, Wofford women's golf freshman
Xuan Khue Minh Doan has been named as the Southern Conference Player of the Week. Doan earns the honor following her career-best ninth-place finish at the Terrier Intercollegiate. The selection is made by the league office.

The honor is the first of Doan's career and the first for the Terriers this season. She is the first Terrier to earn the award since
Becca Earl claimed the recognition on Feb. 16 last season.

"Maisie (Doan) is a freshman, but she plays like a seasoned college golfer," said head coach
Angie Ridgeway of the youngster. "She has a wonderful ability to stay in the moment, which served her well in the challenging Terrier Intercollegiate course setup."

Wofford hosted its Terrier Intercollegiate tournament over the last two days, which concluded with the Terriers in ninth place. At the challenging Carolina Country Club course, Doan was the top finisher for Wofford, leading the squad to its 11th top-10 in the past 12 tournaments. Finishing ninth out of 90 competitors, Doan recorded her first-career top-10 result. With this being just her fourth collegiate tournament, the placement is her third in top 20 with only a single finish outside (30
th).

The Terriers return to the course next week at the Mercer Invitational. Wofford wraps up its fall slate in Macon, Ga. as Doan and the Terriers look to end the first half of the 2022-23 season on a good note.
