SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its 2021-22 men's basketball postseason awards on Wednesday afternoon, as Wofford men's basketball's
B.J. Mack and
Max Klesmit were named amongst the second and third team, respectively.

Selections included the coaches' all-conference teams and specialty awards in addition to the Southern Conference Sports Media Association all-conference teams and awards. Â Â

Mack, a native of Charlotte, N.C., transformed himself into an all-Southern Conference performer this season for the Terriers, having reached double figures in 27 of 30 games, including a current streak of 19-straight, and more than doubling his scoring average from last season at 16.4 points (5
th SoCon) and 5.9 rebounds (12
th SoCon). The 6-foot-8 forward has been efficient scoring, ranked second in the league at 55 percent shooting from the field, while also shooting 44.9 percent from beyond the arc (35-of-78) and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line (4
th SoCon).

Mack has recorded four double-doubles this season, including a career-high double-double performance of 28 points and 13 rebounds in a 78-70 win at Gardner-Webb and in back-to-back games at Samford (20 points, 10 rebounds) and versus Western Carolina (17 points, 11 rebounds). Additionally, the junior has tallied eight 20-point outbursts this season, with six occurring in SoCon games, marked by a 26-point performance in Wofford's regular-season finale over Mercer on Feb. 26.

Klesmit, a native of Neenah, Wisc., notches his second all-conference honor for his career, averaging 15.0 points (8
th SoCon) and 2.9 rebounds while having reached double-figure scoring in 24 games through his sophomore season. Klesmit has nailed a team-high 66 threes (8th SoCon) at a 34.6 percent clip this season, while having hit three or more in 14 games. Additionally, the sophomore has reached 20-plus points in seven games this season, including career-best marks of 27 points twice at South Carolina and versus The Citadel.

Klesmit sits third among the league in free-throw percentage, hitting 85.1 percent of his tries from the stripe (80-of-94), while averaging 1.7 steals per game (5
th SoCon) for a team-high 48 on the season.

The 2022 Ingles Southern Conference Men's Basketball Championship begins Friday at 5 p.m. at Harrah's Cherokee Center – Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina, and will be broadcast on ESPN+. Saturday's quarterfinals will appear on ESPN+ as well as select Nexstar affiliates, as No. 4-seeded Wofford will face No. 5 seed VMI at 2:30 p.m.

Sunday's semifinals will air live on ESPNU. The championship game is scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
