SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College defensive line coach
Bryan Bing and tight ends coach
Corey Woods have been named 2022 Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellows. Bing will spend time with the Arizona Cardinals, while Woods worked with the Washington Commanders.
Bing is entering his third season at Wofford. In the fall of 2021,
Micheal Mason was named All-Southern Conference second team, while
Brandon Maina and
Chuck Smith earned All-Freshman Team honors. Overall, five different defensive linemen recorded sacks during the season. Bing will work with the Cardinals for the first week of the 2022 training camp.
This is Woods' first season with the Terriers. He spent four seasons on the coaching staff at Limestone, most recently as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Woods was one of six fellows working with the Commanders during the recent OTA period and worked with the tight ends.
Woods also completed fellowships during OTA's and training camp with both the Chicago Bears in 2018 and the Buffalo Bills in 2019. He worked with the offensive line while with the Bears and coached running backs with the Bills.
Established in 1987, the Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellowship provides NFL coaching experience to a diverse group of participants every year. The program is named after the man who conceived the idea – late Pro Football Hall of Fame head coach Bill Walsh – and exposes talented minority college coaches, high school coaches and former players to the methods and philosophies of NFL coaching staffs. Walsh introduced the concept to the league in 1987 when he brought a group of minority coaches into his San Francisco 49ers' training camp.
