CONWAY, S.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team opened the fall season at the Battle at the Beach Hidden Duals hosted by Coastal Carolina from Friday, September 23 to Sunday, September 25, at the Stevens Tennis Complex. In addition to Wofford and Coastal Carolina, Campbell and the College of Charleston also competed in the event.
"The Battle of the Beach was a terrific event," said head coach
Rod Ray. "We made a number of big strides in our development. I like this team a lot. They play hard and care about one another."
In the first day of action against Campbell,
Mark Endler,
Will Fullett and
Max Graham earned singles wins. In doubles,
Callum Rendle and
Alex Horn picked up a 6-2 win.
On Saturday against Coastal Carolina,
Max Graham and
Robbie Young earned a 6-3 win in doubles. Wofford then won four of the seven singles matches played, with
Alex Horn and
Robbie Young winning in two sets and
Callum Rendle and
Mark Endler taking their matches in three sets.
In Sunday's matches against the College of Charleston, the Terriers won five of the eight singles matches and split the four doubles matches.

Max Graham took his match in a third set tiebreaker (10-8).
Callum Rendle and
Alex Horn picked up a 6-4 doubles win, with
Mark Endler and
Robbie Young also winning their match 6-4.
Wofford will send selected players to the ITA All-American Tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from October 1 to 3.
