SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford's
Valdemar Dubin was among those honored with 2026 Southern Conference men's tennis postseason awards on Wednesday, April 15. Postseason balloting was conducted by the league's eight head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own student-athletes.
Dubin, a freshman from Vedbæk, Denmark, was named to the All-Freshman Team. In singles, he played eight matches, primarily at the #4 and #5 positions. In doubles, he was 8-8 on the season, with the eight wins tied for the team lead. He partnered with
Jack Deveney at the #1 position (4-5),
Owen Dooley at the #2 position (0-1), and
Julian Brager-Carlsen at the #2 position (4-2).
This is the second year in a row the Terriers have had an All-Freshman Team selection, joining
Jack Burdell in 2025. Dubin is the 15
th Terrier to earn All-Freshman Team honors in school history.
The Terriers will open play at the 2026 Southern Conference Tournament on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Wofford, the #7 seed, will face the #2 seed, Samford.
