SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College men's and women's cross country teams earned 2022 Division I All-Academic Team honors as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better. Wofford recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.43 for the men's team and a 3.55 for the women's team. Both teams are coached by
Johnny Bomar.
Overall, there were 249 women's teams that earned All-Academic distinction. North Carolina State was named the Women's Scholar Team of the Year in NCAA Division I Cross Country, as they won the NCAA Championship in November.
For the men, there were 216 team's that earned All-Academic distinction. Northern Arizona was named the Men's Scholar Team of the Year for the 2022 NCAA Division I Cross Country season. The Lumberjacks won the team title at the 2022 NCAA DI Cross Country Championships.
