Spartanburg, S.C.- Wofford men's soccer sophomore forward Nikolai Rojel is once again the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week after posting a hat trick against Winthrop on September 26.

"We're elated for Niko to earn this recognition again from the conference. His output last week versus Winthrop as well as his work rate out of possession against ETSU was so valuable for our group," said Head Coach Joel Tyson of Rojel's performance in last week's matches.

Rojel becomes the first Terrier to win multiple Player of the Week awards in his Wofford career and marks the first time Wofford has won the award more than once in a season since 2014- won by Wofford Athletics Hall of Famer Matthew Aurednik and former goalkeeper Joe Wichmann who holds the single season record for goals against average (0.39 goals allowed per game in 2014).

With seven goals already this season, Rojel ranks tied for the conference lead in goals scored, is tied for eleventh nationally and tied for second in the country amongst sophomores. Three more goals for the sophomore would tie him fourth in career goals scored during Wofford's D-I era (1995-present).
