SPARTANBURG, S.C. – On Sunday, the Southern Conference announced its all-tournament team after the conclusion of the SoCon Tournament Final.
Stewart Patnaud and
Declan Mettee earned their spots after their efforts against ETSU and Furman.
Patnaud started 11 matches and saw the field in 18 during his final season for the Terriers. His two goals on the season could not come at better times. His first was the game-winning goal against VMI on Wofford's senior day. His second came in the 87th minute of the SoCon Quarterfinals to tie the game and send it to overtime. The senior departs Wofford after two seasons, totaling six goals and four assists.
Mettee played in all 19 games, starting in five, tallying 837 minutes in his second season for the Terriers. The junior scored the second-most goals (5) and racked up the third-most points (11) on the team this season. Against ETSU, Mettee was the super-substitute as he scored the game-winning golden goal in the 104th minute to send Wofford to the SoCon Semifinals.
