FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Wofford men's golf team posted a score of 892 at the Mason Rudolph Championship to place 15
th at the Vanderbilt Legends Club – South Course, a par-71, 7,100-yard course, over the past three days.
Harry Jones paced the Terriers with a score of 218.
The Terriers finished 40-over par in 15
th place with a team score of 892. A tough round-one 302 was hard to overcome, but the Terriers improved over each round with subsequent scores of 289 and 287.
The host No. 1 Vanderbilt ran away with the title, scoring 34-under par at 818. The 15-team field was stout, featuring seven teams ranked in the top 50.
Harry Jones led the way for Wofford, caring a 218 with scores of 74-71-73 to tie for 46
th at 5-over.
Vanderbilt's Gordon Sargent, the No. 1 ranked player, claimed low medalist honors in the 84-player field with a 17-under 196.
Will Jones shot 225 to tie for 68
th, and
Matthew Larkin carded 226 to place in a tie for 75
th.
Jackson Hill was tied for 77
th with a score of 227.
Cedric Otten's 236 placed him in 83
rd to round out the Wofford lineup.
The Terriers return to action in the Southern Conference Championship, which runs from April 23-25. The event takes place at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga.
