Luke Moise, and defensive lineman
Marion Smokes earned the recognition for the Terriers.
Coombes, a second-year freshman from Bellefonte, Delaware, was second on the team in total tackles with 88. He either led or tied for the team-high in tackles in four games, including the season finale at South Carolina. He was named a Freshman All-America by FCS Central, Stats Perform, and Phile Steele (first team).
Moise, a true freshman from Miami, Florida, started all 12 games at left guard. He played more snaps on the offensive line than any other freshman in the Southern Conference. Moise was named a Freshman All-American by FCS Central, Stats Perform, and Phil Steele (first team).
Smokes, a true freshman from DeLand, Florida, played in seven games with five starts at defensive end. He had 25 total tackles on the season, including eight tackles for loss. He led the team with four sacks, including two against The Citadel. Smokes was named a Freshman All-American by FCS Central and Phil Steele (second team).
