Kyler Filewich were both named to the CSC Academic All-District team on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
In his first season with the Terriers, Bailey was the team's second leading scorer, averaging 11.8 points per game and 2.3 rebounds per game after transferring from Northeastern State in the Division Two ranks. The junior tallied six 20-point games, highlighted by a 21-point performance at Coastal Carolina on December 9, 2023, to help lead Wofford to the road win.
Also, a 36% three-point shooter, Bailey led the team in three-pointers made with 64, including a 5-for-7 performance against Samford on February 28, 2024, that saw the Terriers defeat the Bulldogs by 91-69 (the team led by as many 39 points in the game).
Bailey is currently in his junior year academically and holds a 3.9 GPA as a finance major.
Meanwhile, Filewich completed his second season as a Wofford Terrier, upping his scoring average by 2.8 points (6.7 ppg in 2022-23 to 9.5 ppg in 2023-24) and his rebounding output by four (4.8 rpg to 8.8 rpg). In addition to making his first career start as a Terrier on opening night against Brevard on November 6, 2023, he was one of two Terriers to start in all 32 games this season.
Entering the SoCon tournament, Filewich ranked top-100 in the nation in double-doubles (75th- 8), defensive rebounds per game (97th- 5.68), offensive rebounds per game (34th- 3.16), rebounds per game (52nd- 8.8) and total rebounds (40th- 274). The junior was also a threat passing the ball, ranking second in the SoCon, during conference play, in assist-to-turnover ratio at +3.4, meaning he was averaging 3.4 assists before committing a turnover.
Filewich also held the distinction for the second most single game rebounds by any player in the country this season when he grabbed 21 rebounds against Southern Wesleyan on December 29, 2023, His performance set a record for most rebounds by any player inside Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium and the first 20+ rebound performance by a Terrier since Howard Wilkerson grabbed 20 against Appalachian State on January 10, 2004. Filewich followed up that performance by grabbing 17 boards against VMI, a performance that went unsurpassed the entirety of conference play, or the conference tournament.
Also, a finance major, Filewich is an academic senior with a 3.69 GPA.
