SPARTANBURG, S.C. – As announced Monday afternoon by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee, the 2024 Southern Conference champion Wofford baseball team has been selected as the No. 3 seed in the Chapel Hill Regional for the 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The full 64-team bracket was unveiled during the selection show with each four-team regional revealed. As the No. 3 seed, Wofford will open against the No. 2 seed LSU.

The Chapel Hill Regional is hosted by the No. 4 overall seed North Carolina Tar Heels. The four-team double-elimination bracket includes No. 2 LSU, No. 3 Wofford and No. 4 LIU. The opening contest of the regional will be Wofford's match-up against the defending 2023 national champion LSU at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31. UNC and LIU will play later that night at 6:00 p.m. The Chapel Hill regional is paired with the Tucson Regional hosted by No. 13 overall seed Arizona.

After defeating Samford twice yesterday to claim the 2024 Southern Conference Championship, the Terriers earned their second-ever NCAA Tournament berth. This is Wofford's first appearance in the tournament since 2007. The three seed is the highest for the program after being tabbed as the four seed in 2007. The Terriers will be in search of their first NCAA Tournament victory ever.

Wofford enters the postseason with a 41-18 record, the third consecutive season for the program with a 40-plus-win season.
