CONWAY, S.C. – The Wofford men's tennis team opened the fall season at the Coastal Carolina Battle at the Beach Weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Competing teams included Campbell, the College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, and Wofford.
 
The start of the event at the Stevens Tennis Complex was delayed one day due to rain from Hurricane Helene. On Saturday, the Terriers faced the College of Charleston and Campbell in singles. To conclude the matches, Wofford played Coastal Carolina and Campbell in doubles on Sunday. Highlights of the tournament included freshman Jack Burdell winning three singles matches, while Hugo Rask won two singles matches and a doubles match.
 
Wofford will next be in action at the ITA Regionals from October 10 to 12 in Cary, North Carolina.
