SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College and AFL have announced the Student-Athlete Leaders of the Month for October. The month's honorees are Liam Jones from the men's cross country team and Elizabeth Navola from the women's soccer team.
 
Jones, a junior from Columbia, S.C., was the men's cross country team's top finisher in two of the five meets this season, including the 2025 Southern Conference Championship last weekend. A double major in finance and mathematics, he has been named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll twice.
 
Navola, a sophomore from Davidson, North Carolina, started all 21 games in goal for the Terriers this season. She had six shutouts and 103 saves with a .824 save percentage. She was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week on October 28, the second honor of her career. Her 103 saves rank second in the conference, while her save percentage is also second. She has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
