SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College and AFL have announced the Student-Athlete Leaders of the Month for November. The month's honorees are Quincy Hughes from the football team and Anna Mottern from the rifle team.
Hughes, a fifth-year senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, started all twelve games at left tackle. The Terriers won six of their final seven games of the season, including wins over Furman, Samford, and The Citadel. For his career, he started 38 games on the offensive line. A humanities major, he has been named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Mottern, a freshman from Greenwood, S.C., has competed in all five of the team's matches so far this season. The team has competed against multiple top 20 opponents, including defending national champion West Virginia and No. 1 Kentucky. She fired a career-high 576 in air rifle at Jacksonville State.
