Rifle finished sixth at the SoCon Championship, with Seth Flanagan earning coach of the year honors. The men's and women's indoor track and field teams will be at the SoCon Championships on Friday and Saturday, looking to set more school records. The men's and women's golf teams and men's and women's tennis teams are underway in their spring seasons. Baseball, softball, and lacrosse have gotten underway as well, with plenty of home games.

SOFTBALL SEASON START
The softball team, in only its third season of play, is off to one of the best starts ever by a SoCon team. They have a 14-1 record, including wins over UNC Wilmington, Harvard, USC Upstate, and Presbyterian College. The team, along with Dr. Samhat and me, continued the "snack time" tradition with a trip to Andy's Frozen Custard on Wednesday night for some of our favorite treats.
VOLLEYBALL TARAFLEX FLOOR
Wofford Volleyball has launched a campaign to fund a new Taraflex competition court. This high-performance surface will improve player safety, reduce injury risk, and elevate the overall student-athlete experience. For volleyball alumni, this is a meaningful opportunity to give back to the program that helped shape your Wofford journey while ensuring future Terriers train and compete on a first-class court. CONSTRUCTION PROJECT UPDATE
Two construction projects are currently underway for the athletic department. Work began on the Robby Atkins Performance Center at the Joe E. Taylor Center this month. A huge thank you to Robby for his transformational $1.3 million gift, which will impact all 450 student-athletes. You can read more about the gift in the upcoming issue of "Wofford Today." The project will remove several walls and offices to enlarge the primary strength and conditioning space. It will also include a nutrition station that will benefit all of our student-athletes. The project will be completed this summer. The second project is the indoor baseball and softball facility, which will take an underutilized space in Benjamin Johnson Arena into a space that can be used year-round. This donor-driven project is expected to be completed later this year.
