Wofford Baseball Announces 2026 Campaign

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford baseball head coach J.J. Edwards has announced the schedule for the 2026 Terrier baseball season. Edwards and his team face a full slate with 32 home games scheduled at Russell C. King Field. The season opens at home on February 13.

The schedule features five first-time meetings and two teams that made NCAA Tournament appearances last season in reigning Southern Conference Champions ETSU and USC Upstate. Alongside the Terriers' 32 home games, Wofford is back at Fifth Third Park, home of the Texas Rangers High-A affiliate Hub City Spartanburgers, with midweek matchups against SEC member South Carolina on February 17 and crosstown foe USC Upstate on March 10.

"We're excited to compete against plenty of high-quality competition from around the country," head coach J.J. Edwards said. "This season, our schedule features plenty of big opponents, in conference and out. The Southern Conference continues to be a great league with high-level competition, and right now we're taking it one step at a time." 

Wofford opens their campaign with 11 consecutive games in Spartanburg. The season starts with a three-game series against Mercyhurst on Friday, February 13. After the midweek contest against South Carolina, Wofford welcomes Valpo on February 20, NJIT on February 21, and Northern Illinois on February 22. The Terriers welcome Davidson for a midweek matchup at Russell C. King Field on February 24 before wrapping up their final homestand of February with a three-game series against St. Joseph's beginning on February 27.

Wofford leaves for a four-game road trip with their first stop at UNC Asheville on March 3 before heading to Music City to face off in a three-game series against Belmont March 6-8.

The Terriers come back to Russell C. King Field to welcome the College of Charleston on March 11 and face off in a four-game series against Ivy League member Princeton in their first-ever meeting beginning on March 13, with a doubleheader on March 14. Wofford travels to Presbyterian on March 17 before heading north to Cincinnati, Ohio, for a weekend matchup against Xavier starting on March 20.
 
Wofford begins the conference slate against UNCG on March 27 before concluding play in March in Columbia against South Carolina on March 31. The Terriers start April with their first SoCon road contest at VMI starting on April 2. From there, Wofford heads to the Peach State to face off against Georgia State in a midweek matchup on April 7. The Terriers come back home to welcome The Citadel on April 10-12 before welcoming the Blue Hose on April 14.
 
The Terriers go back to UNC Asheville on April 17 before returning to host the Bulldogs on April 18 and 19. Wofford welcomes Queens for the second consecutive year on April 21 before heading down to Mercer starting on April 24. The Black and Gold will welcome Gardner-Webb on April 28 to close out the month.
 
May begins with a three-game series against Western Carolina beginning on May 1 before the Terriers leave for Gardner-Webb in their last non-conference game of the season on May 6. Wofford will welcome the defending SoCon Champions, ETSU, on May 8-10 for their last home series. The Terriers will close off the regular season in Birmingham, Alabama, to face off against Samford on May 14-16. The Southern Conference Tournament will begin on May 20 at Fluor Field in Greenville.
 
The Terriers ended the 2025 season 33-27 overall and 8-13 in conference play. Last season marked the seventh-straight campaign where the Terriers reached 30 wins, the longest active streak in the Southern Conference.
