SoCon Tournament Recap
The Terriers entered the SoCon Tournament as the No. 3 seed for just the second time in program history. Both times Wofford was the No. 3 seed, the team won the SoCon Tournament (2023, 2025). The Terriers defeated No. 6 Samford 3-0 in the quarterfinals before taking down No. 2 Furman 3-0 in the semifinals. Despite trailing No. 1 ETSU 2-1 in the championship, Wofford won a five-set thriller for its third-straight SoCon Championship.
Â
Not Our First Rodeo
Wofford entered 2025 as the most experienced squad in the Southern Conference.
The Terriers have 12 returners from last season's championship team - the second most in the SoCon. Wofford features the most experienced roster in the league entering 2025 as four starters from 2024 return, tying UNCG for most in the league. Those 12 returners from a year ago experienced the NCAA Tournament last season. Seven players from the 2023 SoCon Championship are on this year's roster.

Rejected by Rakoski
Annemarie Rakoski has been nothing short of incredible this season at the net. The senior is second in the SoCon with 1.30 blocks/set and is 38th nationally. She has totaled 137 blocks this season, which is second in the conference and 36th in the nation. She has earned four SoCon Defensive Player of the Week awards, which is the most in a season by a player since Abbey Richman had four in 2023. Rakoski posted 12 blocks in the win at Western Carolina this season - the most blocks in a four-set match since Colleen Reilly had 12 in 2015. She recorded 20 blocks in just two matches from October 23-25, ranking her second in the nation for that week. Nationally, Rakoski ranks 11th in the nation and first in the SoCon with 30 solo blocks this season. At this pace, Rakoski can set the single-season program record for blocks/set, as Currie Gossett holds a record of 1.32 since 2000. Rakoski is the first Terrier to have back-to-back seasons with 130+ blocks since Currie Gossett did it from 1999-2000.
