Wofford Names AFL Student-Athlete Leaders of the Month For February

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College and AFL have announced the Student-Athlete Leaders of the Month for February. The month's honorees are Sherika Christie from the women's track and field team and Ben Jordan from the men's golf team.  
 
Christie, a sophomore from St. Catherine, Jamaica, earned SoCon Most Outstanding Field Performer honors for the second year in a row at the 2025 Indoor Track and Field Championship. On the first day, Christie won the long jump with a school record distance of 6.03 meters. She was also second in the women's high jump. She finished her weekend with the triple jump championship on day two, along with finishing second in the 60-meter hurdles and eighth in the shot put. Christie was also named the Southern Conference Most Outstanding Athlete at the conclusion of the meet.
 
Jordan, a junior from Greensboro, N.C., was the top finisher for Wofford at the Dorado Beach Intercollegiate with a 211 score at 5-under par, placing in 13th. The team was tied for fifth at the event. In the fall, he was the individual medalist at the Carolina Cup with a 1-under par 215 in the three-round tournament. He is a finance major.
