SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Wofford College men's basketball team had three student-athletes named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The Wofford trio receiving the honors for the 2025 Southern Conference Champions and NCAA Tournament participants are
Dillon Bailey,
Kyler Filewich, and
Jeremy Lorenz.
Dillon Bailey, a senior guard from Bentonville, Arkansas, started all 35 games this season. He averaged 11.1 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game, along with 51 assists and 26 steals. Among SoCon leaders, he was 12
th in three-point field goals made with 66. For his career, he scored 1,482 points. A finance major, he also earned CSC Academic All-District® honors last season.
Kyler Filewich, a senior center out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, averaged 11.7 points and 9.2 rebounds per game while starting all 35 games for the Terriers. He had 12 double-doubles during the season, the most in the conference. He was named 2025 SoCon Tournament MVP, along with All-SoCon third team honors. Filewich scored 1,242 career points. A finance major, he also earned CSC Academic All-District® honors last season.
Jeremy Lorenz, a sophomore from Brillion, Wisconsin, played in all 35 games with 12 starts. He averaged 8.0 points per game with 3.8 rebounds per game, along with 60 assists and a team-high 24 blocked shots. He was named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll in 2023-24.
Academic All-District® nominees must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and compete in 90 percent of the team's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the team's games. Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 15, 2025.
