As our student-athletes are in the middle of spring semester exams with commencement scheduled for Sunday, May 18, this academic year has flown by. From Southern Conference Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances by volleyball and men's basketball, to record-setting individual and team performances in almost every sport, it has been a year to remember. Johnny Bomar (women's indoor track) and Krissy Hall (women's tennis) each earned SoCon Coach of the Year honors as well. The spring season will come to a close with the SoCon Baseball Tournament in Greenville from May 21-24, and we hope to see you there.
While one year ends, we are already working hard on planning for the 2025-26 campaign. We will be releasing fall sports schedules in June.
EXCELLENCE GAMES!
The Excellence Games were a huge success in April with over 800 donors. Congratulations to the baseball excellence fund for leading our teams as the overall winner. Other wildcard winners included the women's basketball excellence fund (first to $1,000), the women's lacrosse excellence fund (first to five donors), and the rifle excellence fund (highest percent increase). If you missed the Excellence Games, you can still contribute to the Terrier Club or a sport-specific excellence fund at

ANDREW NOVAK
Wofford men's golf alumnus Andrew Novak '17 broke through for his first win on the PGA Tour on April 27. Novak, paired with Ben Griffin, earned the victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans as the duo finished 28-under par over the four-round event at the TPC Louisiana. Winning the Zurich Classic means each member of the winning team receives $1,329,400 in prize money. Additionally, each winner gets 400 FedExCup points and a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour.
NOVAK AND THE TERRIER CLUB AT THE PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
With the tournament win, Andrew Novak will be competing at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow this week. The Terrier Club will be hosting an event at Legion Brewing on Tuesday, May 13, at 5:00 p.m. for a happy hour to kick off the week and celebrate with Andrew before the tournament begins. Register

One of the highlights of the year is the annual Bosscars Awards. The 2025 edition was presented by the Wofford Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in conjunction with the Wofford Department of Athletics on May 5 at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. Corey Tripp from the men's basketball team won Male Student-Athlete of the Year, while Margaret Axelson and Sherika Christie took home Female Student-Athlete of the Year honors. NCAA APR SCORES
The NCAA released the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) results on last week, marking the 21
st year of data collection. Overall, thirteen of the eighteen sports at Wofford College were above the Division I average of 984 for all institutions. The Wofford men's cross country, women's basketball, men's tennis, women's tennis, women's soccer, softball, volleyball, and rifle teams earned scores of 1,000, with the eight teams the most of any Southern Conference school.
WEIGHT ROOM UPGRADES
This summer, work will begin on upgrading the equipment in the Joe E. Taylor Center weight room. In addition, a new weight room will be installed in Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. The new weight room will be for men's and women's basketball, lacrosse, and volleyball, which will free up time in the Taylor Center weight room for our other sports. Both facilities will be outfitted with all-new weight equipment and flooring. We hope to have this project completed in August.
