Wofford Names AFL Student-Athlete Leaders of the Month For April

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College and AFL have announced the Student-Athlete Leaders of the Month for April. The month's honorees are Breda Brennan from the women's tennis team and Bria Foley from the women's lacrosse team.   
 
Brennan, a senior from Limerick, Ireland, earned All-Southern Conference first team honors for the second straight season and added second team All-Conference honors at the #1 doubles position. She helped lead the team to a school-record 17 wins as the team advanced to the Southern Conference Tournament semifinals for the second time in the last three seasons. A finance and economics major, Brennan has been named CSC Academic All-District and received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
 
Foley, a senior from Walpole, Massachusetts, has started all 19 games for the Terriers. This season, the team has reached the Big South Tournament semifinals for the first time after a school-record nine wins. She was named Big South Co-Offensive Player of the Year and first team All-Big South after becoming just the sixth player in conference history with 100 or more points in a single season. A sociology and anthropology major, Foley is a CSC Academic All-District honoree and Big South All-Academic team member.
