Small Ball
Wofford, or Bunt School, uses a combination of stolen bases and sacrifice bunts to advance on the basepaths. The Terriers swiped 147 bags last season, seventh nationally and second in the SoCon behind only VMI's 178. Wofford's 2.37 steals per game clip was 10th in the nation. With 55 sacrifices laid down, Wofford ranked fourth in the nation and was best in the conference. This season, the Terriers have put down 39 sacrifices and stolen 145 bases. The steals are good for fifth in the nation and second in the league. The Terriers trail just VMI in the conference with its national-best 200 swipes. Sixteen different Terriers have swiped a base thus far with 14 owning multiple and six boasting at least 10. Four Terriers are perfect on steal attempts with at least four tries, including
Adam Haber at 12-of-12.
James Layman leads the team with 23 swipes, ranking third in the conference.
Niko Brini is right on his heels with 20 steals, sixth in the league. Wofford is just 18 steals shy of matching its single-season record, which was set in 2013 with 163. Wofford's sacrifice bunts are third in the conference and 11th in the nation. Twelve different players have laid one down for Wofford with
Tanner Hardin leading the way on the squad with seven. He ranks fifth in the conference.
Lucas Manning is right on his heels with six sacrifices, eighth in the league. Hardin sits just six sacrifices behind the SoCon leader, The Citadel's Travis Elliott with 13.

Double Trouble
The Terrier offense has thrived at hitting doubles this season. Of Wofford's 467 total base hits, 92 have gone for two bases to rank sixth in the SoCon. This means 19.7 percent of Wofford's total hits have been doubles.
Ryan Wynn and
Tyler Hare lead the team with 16 and 15 two-baggers, respectively. Wynn is third in the league with Hare in fifth. Wynn is just two doubles behind conference-leader Bradley Garner of VMI with his 18 doubles. Wofford is the only team in the conference to boast a pair of players in the top five for doubles. Hare's propensity for the double has been exceptional this season, as 15 of his 35 total base knocks have been doubles, which comes out to 42.9 percent of his hits going for two. With 63 total bases coming out of his 35 hits, Hare averages 1.8 total bases per base hit to indicate that when he gets a hit, it's most likely to be a double.

30 Rocks
Upon recording win No. 30 last season, the Terriers secured a 30-win season for the sixth-straight full season (COVID-shortened 2020 campaign excluded).
J.J. Edwards, became the first skipper in program history to notch 30 or more victories in his first year at the helm. Wofford's streak of six years in a row with 30-plus wins is the longest active run by a SoCon school. Mercer had been in front with eight-straight 30-win campaigns since joining the league, but the Bears finished with 29 wins last season to fall just short of extending their streak. Currently boasting 28 victories in 2025, the Terriers need just two more to extend the streak to seven consecutive seasons of 30 or more wins.
