SPARTANBURG, S.C. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced today its 2024-25 Academic All-District® at-large selections with the duo of
Maggie Jackson and
Bella Kent from the Wofford women's golf team honored. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
This marks the third year in a row for the women's golf program with at least one Terrier honored, and this is the second time that two have been recognized (2023). Jackson has secured the third such recognition of her career, remaining the only player in program history with multiple selections. Kent is honored for the first time in her career.
Jackson, a senior from Tallulah Falls, Georgia, had a 78.15 stroke average this season over 27 rounds played. She recorded a pair of top-10 results with four total top-20s. Her first top 20 of the season came in the Terrier Intercollegiate with a tie for 15
th, and she followed up by placing eighth in the Fripp Island Intercollegiate to aid in Wofford's team win. In the fall slate, she posted a 15
th-place result in the Low Country Intercollegiate before finishing sixth in the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate, lifting the Terriers to a second victory on the season. In the Tennessee Spring Challenge, Jackson carded a 73 in round two for her season low. With 113 rounds played in her career, Jackson is the Terrier career leader and only player in program history to eclipse 100 rounds. Her 77.54 stroke average is the second best in program history among graduates. Jackson graduated in May with degrees in physics and art history with a 3.91 GPA. She was named the recipient of the 2025 Richard Johnson Scholarship, one of 10 postgraduate scholarship recipients in the Southern Conference.
Kent, a sophomore from Berkshire, England, led the team with a 75.93 stroke average this season. Over 27 rounds of action, she recorded six top-20 results, including four top-10s, all of which were top-five placements. This was highlighted by the first win of her career in the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate, aiding in Wofford securing a team win as well. Kent added a runner-up finish in the Pirate Collegiate Classic alongside back-to-back fourth-place results in the Terrier Intercollegiate and Fripp Island Intercollegiate. The latter event saw Wofford secure a team victory. Kent earned SoCon Women's Golfer of the Week recognition twice this season. A mathematics major, Kent owns a 3.94 GPA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, which will be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on July 8, 2024.
