SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford College women's tennis head coach 
Krissy Hall has announced that 
Katie Godfree, 
Marie Henriksen and 
Ella Suk have committed to join the team in the fall of 2025.   
 
"I am so excited to welcome these three amazing young ladies into our Wofford Tennis Family," said head coach 
Krissy Hall. "They are hard-working, competitive and bring incredible energy, passion, and drive to everything they do. Above all, they are high character young ladies with great integrity.  I am confident they will make a lasting impact on our team and culture, and I am so excited to see what they will accomplish both on the court and in the classroom."
 
Katie Godfree is from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She won the South Carolina 5A state championship as a sophomore at Carolina Forest High School, earning All-State, All-Region and 5A State Player of the Year honors. In 2024, she added a state championship in the A-AA-AAA tournament playing for Atlantic Collegiate Academy. She was named All-State, All-Region, Region Player of the Year and 2A State Player of the Year. She is a four-star recruit by the Tennis Recruiting Network.
 
Marie Henriksen is a native of Oslo, Norway. She attends Oslo Handelsgymnasium and plays tennis at Heming Tennis Klubb. She was the 2025 Norwegian National Mixed Doubles Champion, marking her third national mixed doubles championship. In 2024, she won both the senior division and the U19 division with two different partners. She finished third in singles at the ITF Tournament in Sandefjord and achieved a career-best finish as the runner-up in singles at the Norwegian National Championship.
 
Ella Suk, a native of Tucker, Georgia, is a transfer from Elon University. In 2025, she was 3-2 in doubles and had a 2-0 record at the #6 singles position. As a freshman, she was 15-7 in doubles and 10-12 in singles. She was the No. 2 ranked player from Georgia and reached a high national ranking of 57 in 2021 according to TennisRecruiting.com. Suk graduated from the VIP Academy in 2023 as salutatorian of her class.
 
The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to Wofford College and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
