CLINTON, S.C. – The Wofford softball team used a three-run sixth inning to propel the Terriers to a 5-1 win at Presbyterian on Wednesday night.
Natalya Salo pitched a full seven innings with no earned runs. The Terriers improve to 9-1 on the season, including the last seven in a row.

Natalya Salo earned the win, pitching a complete seven inning game. Salo allowed no earned runs on three hits and struck out six batters.
Lauren Archambault led the team on offense, going 1-of-2 at the plate with two RBI and two walks.
Brianna Stanley,
Desirae Devine, and
Rivers Sampson each tallied an RBI as well. Devine and Archambault had one stolen base apiece.

Neither team found a run in the first inning, but Presbyterian was able to get on the board in the bottom of the second to take a 1-0 lead. Wofford kept the Blue Hose scoreless for the rest of the game, however. It took until the sixth inning for the Terriers to score, as
Lauren Archambault walked a batter in.
Desirae Devine followed that up with a sacrifice fly to right field to score
Madison Thieke.
Rivers Sampson closed the inning out with an RBI single to right field, giving Wofford a 3-1 lead. Another scoreless inning from Presbyterian led to a two-run seventh to close the game out.

Lauren Archambault drove in
Addison Lucier for the final run of the game as Wofford won 5-1.

The Terriers will be back home this weekend as the team will host the Sparkle City Invite from February 20-22. The team will face off with Robert Morris, Holy Cross, Harvard, and Morgan State during the tournament.
