SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its weekly softball awards on Monday afternoon, and Wofford's
Brianna Stanley was named the SoCon Player of the Week. The awards are selected by the league office.

Chelsea Butler. "She has worked so hard for this recognition. This award is a snapshot of our weekend, and we are excited for what is ahead."

This is the first career honor for Stanley and the second position player of the week award in program history.
Kate Platte took home the honor one time last season.

Stanley, a sophomore infielder out of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, led the offensive charge en route to a 4-1 start for Wofford. Stanley hit .706 for the weekend and totaled 12 hits, eight RBI, six runs scored, four doubles, and two homers. She posted a 1.294 slugging percentage and a .737 on-base percentage. Stanley totaled three hits in three of the five games played, including a 3-of-4 performance with two doubles, a homerun, and three RBI against Monmouth.

Nationally, Stanley ranks 10
th and leads the SoCon in batting average. She paces the conference and is seventh nationally in doubles, third in hits, and sixth in total bases with 22.

The Terriers posted a 4-1 record in the Terrier Invite and will host the Wofford Invitational on February 13-15. Wofford will take on UNC Wilmington, UMBC, and St. Bonaventure over its five games.
