SOUTH HAMPTON, Bermuda – The Wofford women's golf team captured a tie for second place at the Bermuda Triangle Collegiate held at the par-71 Port Royal Golf Course. Four Terriers finished top 20, including top 10 finishes from
Bella Kent and
Delaney Wade.
Grace Lindsey competed as an individual, finishing in a tie for 14
th place, a career-best and a back-to-back top 20 finish for the freshman.
The two-day tournament saw 36 holes played on Monday, with Wofford carding 316 and 300. The Terriers came back for the final round on Tuesday to card a 316 to secure their second-place spot. In the 11-team field, Stetson was the first-place winner with a 48-over 900 score. Stetson's Isaki Sakashita was the first-place individual winner in the 67-player field, carding a 10-over 223 score. Wofford had the second-best par-four average with a 4.47. Wofford also had the fourth-best par-five average of 5.38 and the fifth-best par-three average of 3.30. The Terriers had the second most birdies in 21 and the fourth most pars in 144.
Bella Kent led the Terriers with her second top-five finish of the season, finishing in a tie for third place with a 15-over 228. Kent carded a 75 and 72 during the first day of competition, before coming back for the final round to card an 81. Kent had the best par-four average of the tournament with 4.21 and held the second most birdies made with seven. This is Kent's fourth top ten finish of the 2025-2026 season and 12
th overall. Kent is now tied for the second-most top-five finishes in program history with nine after today's finish.
Delaney Wade followed with a 20-over 233 to earn her first career top ten finish with her tie for 10
th place. Wade started round one with a 79 before carding a 74. She would finish the final round with an 80 to secure a tie for 10
th place. Wade had the sixth most pars with 33 during the tournament.
Sofia Pedrero ended with a 23-over 236 to place tied in 16
th place, securing her third top 20 finish of the season. Pedrero carded an 81 before coming back to card a 77. She would finish with a 78, and she had the seventh-most birdies with five during the tournament.
Freshman
Valeria Melo finished the tournament with a 27-over 240 score to place tied for 24
th place. Melo carded an 81 and 80 on the first day of competition before carding a 79 in the final round. Melo had the seventh-most birdies during the tournament with five. The last Terrier,
Lilli Horn, finished with a 28-over 241 to place tied for 28
th place. Horn carded 85-77-79 over three rounds to secure her spot. Horn had the eleventh best par five average with a 5.22.
Grace Lindsey was the only Terrier to compete as an individual. Lindsey carded a 22-over 235 to secure a tie for 14
th place, a career-best for the freshman. The back-to-back top 20 finisher carded 78s on the first day before she carded a 79 to end her tournament run. Lindsey had the ninth-best par-four average with 4.42 and 14
th most pars with 30. She also had the 12
th most birdies with four to end the tournament.
The Terriers return next week on Monday, April 6, to compete in the two-day Ironwood Invitational in Greenville, North Carolina.
