SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The No. 2 seed Wofford Men's Basketball team is set to take on the No. 7 seed UNC Greensboro Spartans on Saturday, March 9, at 2:30 p.m. at the Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina. Wofford earned the No. 2 seed after finishing the regular season with a 19-12 record and an 11-7 mark in conference in the first season under Joe B. Hall and Hugh Durham awards finalist,
Kevin Giltner.
With an 11-7 record in Southern Conference play, the Terriers earned their fourth-ever two-seed after a three-way tie with No. 3 Samford and No. 4 Mercer. Wofford split the season with UNC Greensboro, defeating the Spartans in Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium, 97-85, but falling in Bodford Arena, 99-89.

SOCON TOURNAMENT
Wofford will enter the 2025-26 Southern Conference as the No. 2 seed. The Terriers finished in a three-way tie for second place during the regular season, tying Samford and Mercer. Samford will be the No. 3 seed while Mercer will be the No. 4 seed. Wofford won the Southern Conference Tournament as a two seed in 2011.

The Southern Conference announced the results of its postseason awards on Wednesday afternoon, and
Kahmare Holmes,
Nils Machowski, and
Cayden Vasko earned a spot on an all-conference team.
Kahmare Holmes, a sophomore guard from Charlotte, North Carolina, was named to the All-SoCon First Team. He is the first Terrier since B.J. Mack in 2022-23 to earn a spot on the first team. Holmes leads the team with 19.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game.
Nils Machowski, a junior guard from Berlin, Germany, was named to the All-SoCon Second Team. The 6-3 guard was named the Lou Henson National Player of the Week after averaging 34 points over the first two conference games, including 37 points at The Citadel on January 3.
Cayden Vasko, a junior guard from Lowell, Indiana, found a spot on the All-SoCon third team. Vasko leads the team with 122 assists. His assist/turnover ratio has been in the top five nationally for the majority of the season, holding the number one spot for two weeks.
SNACK TIME
After the conclusion of non-conference, Wofford was the only team to have three road wins going into conference play. Wofford opened conference play with two road games at Western Carolina (W, 79-74), and The Citadel (W, 95-86). They lead the conference on the road with nine wins this season.
20-PIECE MEAL
Kahmare Holmes has 14 games with 20 or more points this season. This is the most by a Terrier since Fletcher Magee in 2018-19 (20).
DYNAMIC DUO
Nils Machowski (20.1) and
