HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Sophomore
Wilson Hood scored on a diving header with just over three minutes remaining in the second overtime to lift Wofford to a 3-2 men’s soccer triumph over High Point Friday at the JMU/Comfort Inn Harrisonburg Invitational in Harrisonburg, Va.

Yakov Rubinchik set up the winning play with a cross from the end line to the far post. Hood dove towards the pass and his header tucked into the left corner for the score at 106:39.
High Point (1-1) took the early advantage at 17:55 when Karo Okiomah corralled the ball despite being surrounded by four defenders and nailed his attempt from 15 yards out past Terrier goalkeeper

Bryan Eddy would tally the equalizer for Wofford (2-1) just after halftime, at 47:19, as junior
Branson Hyatt sent a free kick into the box, setting up Eddy’s one-timer past Panther goalie Michael Chesler.
The Terriers’ pairing connected again at 65:28, with Eddy feeding Hyatt for the go-ahead goal. Eddy’s short pass landed at Hyatt’s feet, which he then turned and fired a two-yard attempt past Chesler.
High Point, however, would not be denied in regulation. Kiki Gonzalez stood near the corner flag and his crossing attempt found Chris Shrum’s head. He directed the ball off the far post at 83:59.
Eddy registered one-third of Wofford’s shots with three. Six other players had an attempt each.
Scott Rojo recorded a match-high five shots, while Shrum and Okiomah each had three for the Panthers.
Wofford will conclude play in the tournament with a 2:30 p.m. Sunday match against host James Madison.
