Men's Golf Claims Third at Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational

AIKEN, S.C. – The Wofford men’s golf team improved to finish third at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational, hosted by USC Aiken.

Senior Drew Perry again led the Terriers, shooting a 71 in the third round to place fifth individually. Also finishing in the top 10 was senior Neil O’Briain, who shot two under par in the second round and finished tied for eighth overall.

Following O’Briain was Garrett Medeiros, who tied for 16th with a three-round score of 220. Rounding out the Terrier lineup was junior Mike McKenzie, with a card of 227 over three rounds, and freshman Zach Capps.

Top-ranked USC Aiken won its second consecutive tournament with a victory at the 12th Annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate at the par 70 6,617-yard Palmetto Golf Club.

Liberty finished in second 15 strokes behind the Pacers with a three-round tally of 875 (283-294-298).

The Terriers will next play in the Furman Intercollegiate on March 27-29 in Greenville, S.C.
