SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Junior golfer Garrett Medeiros was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar, as announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA).

He came in at one-under-par at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate in the fall to take fourth place, and claimed a seventh-place finish at the opening tournament of the spring season, the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate.
The junior from Rumford, R.I. helped the Terriers to a fifth place finish at this year’s Southern Conference championships, shooting a 221 (+5) en route to finishing 23rd individually. Medeiros led the team in under-75 rounds, with 21 on the season. He also topped the Terriers in stroke average with a 73.69 clip, and was named All-Southern Conference.
He becomes the eighth Wofford golfer to be named to the honorary squad, and the first since the 2002-03 season.
