Birmingham, Ala. – The Wofford women’s tennis team lost its match to the University of Alabama Birmingham on Sunday afternoon by a score of 6-1. The loss drops the Terriers to 1-10 on the year while UAB improves to 7-3.

UAB jumped out to an early lead by winning all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage heading into singles play. In singles action Wofford won the number five singles match when Stephanie Cox defeated Brittany DeFelice 7-5 in the first set. DeFelice retired in the second.

The Terriers will return to action on Saturday, March 13 when they travel to Statesboro, Georgia to take on Southern Conference foe Georgia Southern at 11:00 am.
